As a national key university, Zhengzhou University was founded through the merger of three universities: former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University. Zhengzhou University has an abundance of resources: four campuses with the area of 1070 acres; 46 schools, departments and 9 affiliated hospitals offering 104 undergraduate, 256 master, and 125 doctor programs in 21 subjects ranging across 12 disciplines, and 23 post-doctoral research stations. The University has a staff of 6,000; among them, 4000 are academic members, 29 are academicians of the Chinese Academy of Science and Engineering, 670 professors, and 1,600 associate professors. At present, the enrolled number of full-time students is over 49,000, with 15,000 graduate students and 1,300 international students
