Wenzhou University is a regional university, whose history dated from 1933 when Mr. Huang Shuochu founded Wenzhou Normal College. The university forms multilevel talents training systems of mainly training undergraduates, simultaneously training graduates, international students, and continuing education. Currently, there are 6 first level discipline master programs, 36 Secondary level discipline master programs, 53 undergraduate programs, 2 in the list of national key programs with distinct features, 15 in the list of provincial key programs, 3 national qualified curriculum, and 32 provincial qualified curriculums. The undergraduate program encompass 10 academic categories, including economics, law, education, literature, history, sciences, engineering, and management etc. The university is composed of 17 schools and two independent colleges. It has a total area of 1,482,667 square meters, 1,046,000 square meters of buildings, 385 million RMB worth of tools and equipments, and 2,253,000 paper books in its library.
