Established in 1958, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine （TUTCM） is one of the earliest universities of TCM in China. Authorized by the State Education Committee （Now MOE）, international University of Traditional Chinese Medicine （IUTCM） was established in 1992 in TUTCM and it is the only international university of TCM in China. It covers 5 areas of study: medicine, science, arts, management & engineering, offers 21 undergraduate programs, 53 master programs, 23 doctoral programs, 3 post-doctoral fellowships and has 6 affiliated hospitals. The university has established a long-term and productive cooperation with 77 universities, hospitals and scientific research institutes from 56 countries. There are altogether 2,486 foreign students （1025 of whom are for degree education） from 60 countries, such as Vietnam, Korea, Japan, U.S.A., Malaysia, Mongolia, etc. coming to the university in 2013
