Founded in 1950, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CUPT) is one of the few universities that have been blue-printed and heavily supported by the State, it has grown into a prominent university acknowledged by its excellence in information science and technology in and out of China. The University has 15 colleges and departments, and offers 47 undergraduate programs, 38 postgraduate programs and 2 PhD programs. There are over 24,000 students, including more than 4,000 postgraduates. The university now has over 300 international students, from 52 countries. CUPT commits itself to innovations and explorations, and is known as “the birthplace of digital communication in China” and “the cradle of specialists in the information industry”.
